Rams promote LB Olakunle Fatukasi from practice squad for Sunday’s game

The Rams promoted Olakunle Fatukasi from the practice squad for Sunday’s game against the Lions

The Los Angeles Rams seem to be preparing to be without Troy Reeder in Sunday’s game against the Detroit Lions based on their roster move ahead of time. The team announced on Saturday that linebacker Olakunle Fatukasi has been promoted from the practice squad in advance of this wild-card game, giving the Rams some depth at the position, as well as on special teams.

Fatukasi signed to the Rams’ practice squad in October and has been active for just one game this season, recording one tackle. He’s played 12 special teams snaps and none on defense.

He won’t play on defense Sunday unless there are several injuries at linebacker, but Ernest Jones is healthy, as is Christian Rozeboom, so the Rams are in fine shape.
