The Los Angeles Rams had everyone on the edge of their seats Sunday when they blew a 27-3 lead to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, allowing Tom Brady to mount a miraculous comeback with 24 unanswered points and tie the game at 27 with 42 seconds left.
But Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp connected for the biggest play of the game, a 44-yard deep shot to set up Matt Gay’s game-winning field goal. It prevented the Rams from becoming the laughingstock of the NFL, nearly becoming the second team to fall victim to an epic comeback by Brady.
They held on for the 30-27 win, and celebrated the victory on Twitter afterwards.
