With Week 1 approaching, the Los Angeles Rams continue to churn their roster. As expected, they’ve placed Ogbonnia Okoronkwo on injured reserve due to the shoulder stinger he’s been dealing with.
Additionally, they put Tremayne Anchrum on injured reserve, too. He suffered a knee injury in the preseason finale against the Broncos.
Both players will miss at least three games and can be activated in Week 4. The Rams had to keep both players on the 53-man roster after final cuts because if they were placed on IR before making the team, they would have been forced to miss the entire season.
This opens up two roster spots for Los Angeles, allowing the team to add two players if it chooses. This could open the door for someone like Justin Lawler to be added to the active roster, replacing Okoronkwo while he’s out.
