As tough as Thursday night games are, there is one benefit: less time to dwell on a loss. After getting blown out by the Cardinals on Sunday, the Rams will be back on the field in just a few days when they visit the Seahawks in Seattle.
The Rams have a one-game edge on the Seahawks in the division, sitting at 3-1. Seattle is 2-2 following Sunday’s win against the 49ers, avoiding the first three-game losing streak of Russell Wilson’s career. The Rams have been the better team thus far and the oddsmakers see it that way, too.
According to Tipico Sportsbook, the Rams are currently 1.5-point favorites over the Seahawks ahead of Thursday’s matchup. The over/under is set at 53.5 points, the second-highest total of Week 5.
The Rams have been favored in all but one game this season but have covered the spread only twice in four attempts. The Seahawks are also 2-2 against the spread and have been favored in three of their first four games of the season.
They just beat the 49ers on the road as 2.5-point underdogs, 28-21, while the Rams lost to the Cardinals as 4.5-point favorites, 37-20. The winner of this game will have a much better chance of keeping pace with the 4-0 Cardinals in the division, while a loss could put the Rams as many as two games behind Arizona.
