Rams open as 6.5-point favorites vs. Titans in Week 9

The Rams opened as 6.5-point favorites over the 6-2 Titans in Week 9, with the two teams squaring off in prime time.

The Rams are on a roll right now, winning each of their last four games and surging to 7-1 on the year. Granted, their last four opponents haven’t exactly been the toughest competition, but it’s never easy to win four straight games in the NFL – and all by at least nine points each.

The Rams will face a big test in Week 9 when they host the Tennessee Titans, who are 6-2 and have also won four in a row. Still, the Rams are favored pretty considerably, according to the oddsmakers.

Tipico Sportsbook lists the Rams as 6.5-point favorites over the Titans, tied for the fourth-biggest spread of the week. Considering the Titans have one of the best records in football, that’s a pretty sizable spread in favor of the Rams.

The Rams are 4-4 against the spread and the Titans are 6-2, covering in each of their last four games. The Rams failed to cover the spread on Sunday against the Texans despite being up 38-0 in the fourth quarter, allowing 22 straight points to Houston to finish the game.

The last time the Rams and Titans squared off was in 2017, a game the Rams won 27-23 on the road to clinch the NFC West title of Sean McVay’s coaching career.
