Rams move David Edwards to LT in place of Andrew Whitworth, Coleman Shelton starts at LG

The Rams were forced to shuffle their offensive line again on Sunday after Andrew Whitworth and Joe Noteboom both landed on the COVID-19 list ahead of their game against the Vikings. That left them without their top two options at left tackle, which led to a change at two different positions.

The Rams moved David Edwards from left guard to left tackle, and inserted Coleman Shelton at left guard in his place. Edwards played tackle in college at Wisconsin, so it’s not an unfamiliar position for him.

However, it’s still not ideal to be without your starting left tackle and the swing tackle behind him.
