The Rams will be shorthanded against the Texans on Sunday after the team suffered a rash of injuries in last week’s win. Five starters missed practice this week due to injury, and Jalen Ramsey made it six when he was held out for an illness on Thursday and Friday.
The final injury report of Week 8 is as long as any for the Rams this season, which isn’t a great sign heading into Sunday. Andrew Whitworth and Sebastian Joseph-Day have already been ruled out, and three other players are listed as questionable.
Ramsey, Jordan Fuller and Robert Rochell are all questionable to play, though Sean McVay expects Ramsey to play on Sunday despite missing practice Friday.
“I don’t anticipate that affecting his game status. He’s just still sick. Want to make sure that he’s as fresh and healthy as possible,” McVay said of Ramsey.
As for Fuller and Rochell, their status is up in the air, but it’s a good sign that they were both able to practice fully.
The Texans listed five players as questionable, including starting linebacker Christian Kirksey and offensive lineman Justin Britt. Davis Mills will start at quarterback in place of Tyrod Taylor, who still needs more time to recover from his hamstring injury.
