Rams get shot at revenge vs. Eagles in divisional round after big win over Vikings

The Rams knocked off the Vikings in a dominant win on Monday night, setting up a rematch with the Eagles in the divisional round

The motto of the playoffs is often “survive and advance” but for the Los Angeles Rams on Monday night, it was more like “dominate and advance.” They put a beatdown on the Minnesota Vikings in the wild-card round, winning the game comfortably, 27-9.

By beating the Vikings, the Rams advance to the divisional round where the Philadelphia Eagles await. These two teams will square off on Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. ET on NBC, the second of the two NFC playoff games on the weekend.

The Commanders and Lions will square off on Saturday night to determine who the Rams or Eagles will face in the NFC Championship Game.

The Rams get a shot at redemption after getting blown out by the Eagles in Week 12, 37-20. It was an embarrassing second-half performance by the Rams, allowing Saquon Barkley to run wild on them in what was a historic game by the Eagles running back.

He rushed for 255 yards and added 47 yards receiving, giving him 302 total yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns on the day. That was the last game the Rams lost with Matthew Stafford under center, winning their last six games that he has started.

The Rams are playing much better now than they were at that point in the season, and though the Eagles are coming off a 22-10 win over the Packers in their wild-card game, they only had 131 yards passing and went 2-for-11 on third down.
