Rams expect Cooper Kupp to return in Week 7 vs. Raiders

Cooper Kupp is on track to return against the Raiders in Week 7, giving the Rams a much-needed spark on offense

Help is on the way for the Los Angeles Rams, who have been missing Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp in each of the last two weeks. Kupp injured his ankle in Week 2 but he’s on track to only miss one more game before returning after the team’s bye.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Rams are planning for Kupp to play against the Raiders in Week 7, meaning today’s game against the Packers will be the last one he misses. That’s barring a setback in practice, of course, as he continues to recover from an ankle sprain.

The Rams opted not to place Kupp on injured reserve in hopes that he could return before missing the minimum of four games, which it seems he’s on track to do. If he does return in Week 7, he’ll have missed games against the 49ers, Bears and Packers.

The Rams’ early Week 6 bye could work in the team’s favor, giving players like Kupp and Nacua an extra week to recover without having to miss a game.

Since Kupp went down, Tutu Atwell, Jordan Whittington and Demarcus Robinson have all helped fill in for the Rams’ injured receivers.
