The Rams attempted to trade Cam Akers for two weeks but were unable to make a deal before Tuesday’s deadline. It wasn’t that no one was interested, however. The Rams just didn’t get a good enough offer for them to give up the former second-round pick.
According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, the Rams turned down multiple offers for Akers. They’re now working with his agent in hopes that Akers will play for them again this season.

Akers, on the other hand, is hoping for a “fair resolution” to the situation after the Rams opted not to trade him before the deadline. He doesn’t believe playing for the team again this season is in his best interest, suggesting he wants to move on and get a fresh start.
Throughout this entire process, Sean McVay has said he wouldn’t rule out Akers returning and playing for the Rams again, but the two sides don’t appear to be seeing eye to eye.
