Rams cut Jason Taylor II, Blake Larson from practice squad

To make room for Ty Nsekhe, the Rams cut two players from the practice squad – including second-year safety Jason Taylor II

The roster shuffling continued for the Los Angeles Rams this week, mostly out of necessity with so many players injured just one game into the season. They added some offensive line help on Tuesday, signing center Dylan McMahon off the Eagles’ practice squad and adding veteran Geron Christian.

Those moves haven’t yet been made official by the team but the addition of Ty Nsekhe to the practice squad has. To make room for Nsekhe, the Rams cut two players from the practice squad: safety Jason Taylor II and offensive lineman Blake Larson.

Taylor was a seventh-round pick in 2023 but was cut this summer due to the depth the Rams had at safety. Larson was signed as an undrafted rookie this offseason but did not make the 53-man roster.

It remains unclear who will start at left tackle this week with Joe Noteboom injured and Alaric Jackson suspended, but Nsekhe is a candidate to step in, as is Geron Christian.
