We’re just over a month away from the Los Angeles Rams and Dallas Cowboys squaring off in the first Sunday Night Football game of the 2020 season. That game, assuming it takes place as scheduled, will be the official opening of SoFi Stadium.
The $5 billion project is nearly complete and even though fans probably won’t be allowed to attend games at the world-class stadium, it will still look spectacular from afar.
Rams COO Kevin Demoff shared a couple of photos from SoFi Stadium at dusk on Sunday night while attending the team’s virtual tailgate, and it really captures the magic of the translucent roof.
Dusk @SoFiStadium looks pretty good! Thanks to all who joined the @RamsNFL tailgate to kickoff training camp. Can’t wait to see what this place looks like in 5 weeks when we host the Cowboys @SNFonNBC pic.twitter.com/f55V10CqLU

He also posted a photo on Twitter of the palm trees outside the stadium, with the SoFi Stadium branding finally in place.

The material used to construct SoFi Stadium really captures the natural light, whether it’s at sunset, dawn or in the middle of the day. It almost changes the color of the stadium depending on what time of day it is.
And when the sun goes down, the lights come on – and they sure have a large selection of lighting options. The roof and exterior are color-changing depending on how the technicians set it, as shown in this video.
