With an open roster spot, the Los Angeles Rams took the opportunity to add an offensive lineman to their 90-man roster. They claimed offensive tackle Ryan Pope off waivers from the Cardinals, who released him about a week after signing him.
Pope is 6-foot-7 and 315 pounds, coming into the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2019. In addition to spending time with the Cardinals, he also had stops in San Francisco, Jacksonville, Green Bay and Denver.
He has yet to appear in an NFL game, but in college, he played 36 games at San Diego State and earned second-team All-Mountain West honors in 2018.
The Rams have good depth at tackle with Joseph Noteboom backing up Andrew Whitworth at left tackle, and Bobby Evans and David Edwards both have experience on the edge despite the Rams using them as guards currently.
