The start of the regular season is right around the corner with just over a week until the Rams take on the Seahawks in Week 1. After setting their initial roster and signing 15 players to the practice squad, the Rams took care of another order of business: selecting captains.
Thy announced eight captains for this season, including three first-timers. Of the eight captains, four of them are on offense, three are on offense and one is on special teams.
Matthew Stafford, Cooper Kupp, Tyler Higbee and Rob Havenstein represent the offense, Aaron Donald, Jordan Fuller and Ernest Jones represent the defense and Ben Skowronek is a captain on special teams.
Its the first time Higbee, Jones and Skowronek have been voted captains by the Rams, a terrific honor for all three of them. Fuller was a captain in 2021, while Havenstein was one in 2022, so this will each be their second time as captains.
Donald has been a captain six times now, Kupp is in his fourth year as a captain and Stafford is in his third.
