The Arizona Cardinals are surprisingly favored in their game this week at home against the Los Angeles Rams. But that is in part because the Rams’ offense has been decimated by injuries.
Receiver Puka Nacua injured his knee. But he isn’t the only one who got hurt and will miss time.
The Rams placed Nacua on injured reserve and two offensive linemen who started in Week 1. Joe Noteboom, the Rams’ starting left tackle in place of Alaric Jackson, who was suspended for the first two games of the year, suffered a high ankle sprain, and left guard Steve Avila suffered a knee injury, were placed on IR with Nacua.
That means the Rams will have a third-stringer at left tackle. They have Ty Nsekhe on the practice squad and also signed Geron Christian to the active roster. Both have played left tackle.
The Rams hope to get right tackle Rob Havenstein back. He missed Week 1 with an injury and Warren McClendon started in his place.
Starting right guard Kevin Dotson also has an injury but he is expected to play against the Cardinals.
