Rams activate OT A.J. Arcuri from practice squad for Week 1

With Rob Havenstein questionable, the Rams are adding some insurance at tackle for Week 1

The Los Angeles Rams could be without Rob Havenstein in Sunday night’s opener against the Detroit Lions so they’re adding some depth along the offensive line.

The team announced it has activated A.J. Arcuri from the practice squad for Week 1, a temporary promotion for the backup offensive tackle. Arcuri can play left or right tackle so he’ll provide some insurance at both spots.

The Rams only kept seven offensive linemen on the 53-man roster to begin with so they were already quite thin, particularly at tackle with Alaric Jackson suspended and Havenstein still nursing an ankle injury suffered during training camp.

Arcuri will be on the game day roster for Sunday and then revert back to the practice squad next week.
