The Los Angeles Rams placed two players on the reserve/COVID-19 list Friday, but one of them has already been taken off. The team announced Sunday that defensive tackle Michael Hoecht has been activated and added to the 53-man roster. Terrell Lewis, who was also placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Friday, has not yet been activated.
The Rams trimmed their roster to 80 players over the weekend. The league has mandated that each team must be at 80 players by Aug. 16, and any team with more than 80 players right now must use split squads during training camp activities.
Rams players reported to the facilities and have gone through three tests for COVID-19 thus far but the team hasn’t yet said when camp will officially begin.
