Rajon Rondo serves up off-the-backbaord alley-oop for LeBron James to close out 3-1 lead over Rockets

Rajon Rondo and LeBron James put an exclamation point on their crucial victory over the Houston Rockets on Thursday night.

After the Los Angeles Lakers staved off a late run by the Houston Rockets, they promptly flexed on the Rockets and let them know that this series is as good as over. Alex Caruso hit a big 3-pointer in the 4th quarter to hold off a late run by the Rockets, but the two Lakers who are the most experienced in the playoffs left their game against the Rockets with an exclamation point.

After yet another excellent performance from Rajon Rondo and LeBron James, Rondo and LeBron combined for one more great play. On a fast break, Rondo and LeBron showed shades of Lakers assistant coach Jason Kidd and his former Nets running mate Kenyon Martin, with an off-the-glass alley-oop. Or better yet, Jason Kidd to LeBron James.

The Lakers were dominant in Thursday night’s Game 4, only sputtering a little bit in the latter part of the 4th quarter. The Lakers will look to close out the Rockets on Saturday night to punch their tickets to the Western Conference Finals and a likely match-up with the Los Angeles Clippers.
