After reports earlier in the week, it appears that rain is still a real possibility Saturday night in Baton Rouge for the game between the Alabama Crimson Tide and LSU Tigers.
According to meteorologist James Spann on Saturday morning, periods of rain are likely Saturday night in Baton Rouge, as well as the possibility for a stray thunderstorm. Spann also mentioned that should this happen, then a potential lightning delay is also a possibility.
As we mentioned earlier in the week as well, this weather forecast could very easily change some of the thoughts behind play-calling for both teams in this game, especially offensively. Should it rain, then it’s fair to say that we could see both teams look to establish the run early Saturday night, an area where you could certainly say that Alabama has the edge.
Now yes, there is always the chance that it doesn’t rain Saturday night, but it appears that there is a real possibility for it to.
Alabama vs. LSU will officially kickoff Saturday night in Baton Rouge at 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
