Raiders WR Davante Adams is one of the best wide receivers in the NFL, and game recognizes game.

Adams was asked to rank the top-five NFL wide receivers on the I Am Athlete podcast in conversation with former NFL wideout Brandon Marshall. What was supposed to be a top-five list ended up becoming seven, as Adams put [autotag]Mike Evans[/autotag] at the “5a.” position behind the Jaguars’ Calvin Ridley and the Cowboys’ CeeDee Lamb.

Here is Adams’ full rankings:

1. Davante Adams
2a. Justin Jefferson
2b. Tyreek Hill
3. Stefon Diggs
4. Calvin Ridley
5a. Mike Evans
5b. CeeDee Lamb

Adams particularly praised Evans’ consistency at the wide receiver position, pointing to his 1,000-yard streak as a measure of his greatness.

“Mike is the most consistent [wide receiver],” Adams told Marshall. “And that shouldn’t make nobody mad. If people are mad about that, then you don’t respect somebody coming out and doing it since we came in the league together. This man ain’t not touched the rack [1,000 yards] since he’s been in the league — there ain’t nothing you can say about that.”

Adams has 87 touchdowns to Evans’ 82 over both of their careers, but Evans has a higher average per reception (15.3), more yards (10,425) and more average yards per game (76.1). He also accomplishes this in less average receptions per year (75.9 to 85.4).
