Back on August 23, the Raiders signed former Chargers’ linebacker Kyle Emanuel. He came out of retirement to sign with the team, joining long time special teams captain Kyle Wilber as the only to Kyles on the team.

On Friday, the Raiders hosted two more Kyles for workouts, both at the quarterback position, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Neither of whom is Kyle Orton whose last season was 2014.

Kyle Lauletta was a fourth-round pick by the Giants in the 2018 draft. He appeared in just two games for the Giants and spent the 2019 season on the Eagles’ practice squad.

Kyle Shurmur was signed with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent in 2019 and spent some time last season on their practice squad. He is the son of former NFL head coach and current Broncos offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur.

Neither of them are expected to be an imminent signing. Derek Carr is the starter in Las Vegas and Marcus Mariota, while missing practice on Wednesday, isn’t expected to be out significant time. Nathan Peterman is the break-glass-in-case-of-emergency guy.
