It’s been ten days since Derek Carr left the field in the first quarter against the Chargers. He was clutching his groin and was taken to the locker room and was replaced by Marcus Mariota.

The moment he was taken to the locker room the question immediately became about the seriousness of the injury and whether he would be back this season. That question was asked even more after how well Mariota played in the three quarters of football that followed.

Since then, however, Carr has shown progress in his attempts to not miss a game and as of now, it looks like he won’t. He is officially active for the game, which would suggest he will start tonight against the Dolphins.

These are the inactives for each team:

Raiders

QB Nathan Peterman
CB Amik Robertson
RB Theo Riddick
T Brandon Parkers
DT Chris Smith
DE Clelin Ferrell

Notes: Starting in place of Ferrell at defensive end will be Carl Nassib. Starting in place of Nick Kwiatkoski (reserve/COVID-19 list) at linebacker will be Raekwon McMillan.

Dolphins

WR Devante Parker
FB Chandler Cox
RB DeAndre Washington
G Soloman Kindley
DE Shaq Lawson

Notes: WR Jakeem Grant and TE Mike Gesicki were both questionable and will start.
