Raiders trade WR Davante Adams out of AFC West

The Raiders are trading WR Davante Adams to the Jets.

Davante Adams is leaving the division.

The Las Vegas Raiders have agreed to trade disgruntled wide receiver Davante Adams to the New York Jets, according to a report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

New York will send a conditional third-round draft pick to Las Vegas that can turn into a second-round pick if Adams earns an All-Pro nod or is on the active roster for the AFC championship game or Super Bowl this season, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

After leaving the AFC West, Adams won’t play against the Denver Broncos in 2024. He previously missed the Raiders’ 34-18 loss to the Broncos in Week 5 while nursing a hamstring injury and seeking a trade.

Adams, 31, was a thorn in Denver’s side from 2022-2023. The veteran receiver hauled in 32 receptions for 418 yards and three touchdowns and went 5-1 in six career games against the Broncos.

In New York, Adams will reunite with former Green Bay Packers teammate Aaron Rodgers, who lobbied for the Jets to trade for the receiver.

More moves could be on the way across the league in the coming weeks as the NFL’s trade deadline is Tuesday, Nov. 5.
