Former Baltimore Ravens running back Lorenzo Taliaferro passed away from a heart attack Tuesday at 28 years old. Several of Taliaferro’s former teammates took to social media to pay their respects but one took it to a completely different level.
Former Ravens and current-Las Vegas Raiders tight end Darren Waller caught a beautiful touchdown in Thursday’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers and used his celebration time to memorialize his former teammate. After the catch, Waller put up three and four fingers on his hands, symbolizing Taliaferro’s jersey number in Baltimore.

Taliaferro was a fourth-round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft and Waller was picked in the sixth round of the 2015 NFL Draft, both by the Ravens. The pair played together for two seasons in Baltimore before Taliaferro was among the roster cuts and Waller was suspended for violating the league’s substance-abuse policy.
