The last few weeks haven’t gone as planned for the Oakland Raiders as they have been out-scored 74-12. For a team that has legit playoff aspirations, their odds of actually making the tournament are shrinking by the week. However, not everything is bad for the Raiders and their future.
Star tight end Darren Waller continues to put up monster numbers for the Raiders, despite their offense sputtering over the last three weeks. In Week 13, Waller was the team’s highest-graded player (88.2) and the highest-graded tight end in all of the NFL, according to Pro Football Focus.
Darren Waller's 88.2 overall grade led all #Raiders players in Week 13!
Waller caught 7 of his 8 targets for 100 yards, moving the chains on 4 of those receptions and avoiding 2 tackles after the catch 🔥

With Waller locked up to a long-term contract, Oakland can now build an offense around him this offseason and find ways to play off of his strengths. What is even more impressive is that he looks to be improving by the week.
The Raiders are going to have a lot of holes to fill this offseason, but having a dominant receiving tight end like Waller will make life a whole lot easier on everyone else in the offense. Waller should be a lock to make the Pro Bowl this season.
