Former Alabama DT Byron Young signs 4-year rookie deal with Raiders

Bit by bit the Raiders are locking up their rookie draft class. The most recent is third round pick (70 overall) DT Byron Young.

The Alabama product signs a four-year deal worth $5.7 million with a $1.03 million cap hit this season.

The 6-3, 292-pounder was played in 54 games with 26 starts over four seasons (2019-22) with the Crimson Tide, totaling 138 tackles (56 solo), 22.5 tackles for loss, and eight sacks.

In 13 games last season, Young put up 48 tackle, 5.5 tackles for loss, four sacks to earn Second-team All-America honors and first-team All-SEC.
