While Zamir What wasn’t on the field for Raiders minicamp practice Wednesday, he was busy. At least for that moment when he was handed a pen and signed his first NFL contract.
Today the Raiders officially signed the fourth round rookie to a four-year deal. The deal is worth $4.53 million over four years with a 2022 cap figure of $923K, which means it doesn’t count against their total as it falls below the top 51.
The 122nd overall pick played in 38 games with 23 starts, totaling 382 carries for 2,043 rushing yards (5.3 avg.) and 25 TD’s over three seasons at Georgia. Including 856 rushing yards and 11 TD’s in 2021.
The 122nd overall pick out of Georgia joins a crowded backfield that includes Josh Jacobs, Kenyan Drake, Brandon Bolden, and Ameer Abdullah.
White is the fifth draft pick the Raiders have signed so far, leaving just fellow fourth round pick Neil Farrell as the lone remaining of their six draft picks yet to be signed. So, expect that signing to be forthcoming.
