If you like low-scoring football, this was the game for you. The game’s first points weren’t scored until right after the two-minute warning in the fourth quarter. In fact, those were the only points that were scored.
The Raiders fell to the Vikings 3-0 in one of the wildest games you will ever see. The Vikings benched Joshua Dobbs in the second half and their own scoring drive came when Nick Mullins moved the ball down the field.
The Raiders managed to record only eight first downs and 173 yards of offense against the Vikings on Sunday. Their offense has been a disaster this season and this was their worst performance yet.
Rookie QB Aidan O’Connell had a chance to lead his team down the field for the game-winning drive but threw an interception on the first play. He did not play well and it’s fair to wonder if the Raiders should make a quarterback change considering how much they’ve regressed on that side of the ball.
The Raiders will host the Los Angeles Chargers on Thursday Night Football in Week 15. The Chargers could be without QB Justin Herbert, who left Sunday’s game against the Broncos with a finger injury and did not return. Keep an eye on the practice reports this week to see who suits up at quarterback.
