The Raiders will kick off the 2023 season in just a matter of days. But before they take on the Broncos in Denver, the front office continues to move money around before the season starts.
On Tuesday, the Raiders announced that they have restructured the contract of QB Jimmy Garoppolo, creating upwards of $17 million in cap space. That news was first reported by Field Yates of ESPN.

The Raiders were already under the cap, but this move gives them more flexibility going into the year. However, this likely ties Garoppolo to the Raiders through the 2024 season (at least) as they lowered his cap hit for this year.
We will continue to update this story as more information becomes available.
