In Week 10, the Raiders did what good teams do: they beat a bad team. Not only did the Raiders beat the Broncos, but they dominated them. It was their easiest win of the season as Las Vegas ran the ball at will against Denver. On defense, they forced five turnovers and made Drew Lock look a fringe NFL player.
With that win on Sunday, the Raiders have improved to 6-3 on the season and have now won three straight games. With just seven games left in the season, the Raiders look and are playing like a playoff team.
According to FiveThirtyEight, the Raiders currently have a 70 percent chance of making the playoffs. Entering Week 11, they are the No. 5 seed in the AFC and would take on the Chiefs in Kansas City if the playoffs started today.
Speaking of Kansas City, the Raiders still have a legit shot at winning the division. According to the site, their divisional odds sit at 11 percent, but that number would rise exponentially with a win over the Chiefs in Week 11. If they were able to win that game at home, the Raiders would hold the tiebreaker over the Chiefs and would be just one game back in the loss column.
Through nine games, the Raiders have done a fantastic job of putting themselves into a position to make a playoff run. They have done so without several key players, but they just keep finding a way to win games. Believe it or not, this is one of the best teams in the AFC and a playoff berth should be expected from this new-look Las Vegas team.
