Raiders place six more players on reserve/COVID-19 list including several starters

Monday sees six Raiders players head to the reserve/COVID-19 list, bringing the team total to 11.

Monday brought a wave of players landing on each team’s reserve/COVID-19 lists. In total 96 players across the league. The Raiders certainly had their share of that, placing six players on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

Just about the team’s entire linebacking corps was placed on the list including starters Denzel Perryman and Cory Littleton.

Starting cornerback Casey Hayward joined Brandon Facyson, putting both Raiders starters on the list. And Darius Philon, who made a big impact in the team’s win over the Broncos was also added to the list.

These additions bring the total Raiders on the reserve/COVID-19 list to 11.

There is a fairly good chance many if not all of these players will be able to return in time for next Sunday’s game in Indianapolis. With new league rules, they need only test negative once prior to the game since they are all vaccinated.

But even if they are able to play, they will likely miss the week of practice, preparing remotely, which could cause some issues come game time.
