Raiders OL Rodney Hudson named among top linemen in the NFL

In the first four games of the season, the Raiders have used multiple offensive line combinations. With players like Trent Brown, Richie Incognito and Sam Young in and out of the lineup, there hasn’t been much stability upfront for the Raiders.

However, the one player that has continued to dominate in every contest is center Rodney Hudson. While he might not be playing quite as well as he did last season, he is still among the league’s best offensive linemen.

In a recent article by Pro Football Focus, they named the top-50 linemen (both offensive and defensive) in the NFL through the first four games. Not surprisingly, Hudson made the list. Take a look at their thoughts on the team’s Pro Bowl center:

“Hudson is the league’s best pass-protecting center, and it isn’t particularly close. If you look at the five highest PFF single-season pass-blocking grades at the position over the past five seasons, he owns all five of the top slots. He is a bit off that pace through the first four weeks of the 2020 season, but it would be a safe bet to say Hudson will once again finish this season with one of the best pass-blocking grades at the position.”

Hudson continues to build don his strong resume and is a good bet to make his fourth Pro Bowl in five seasons. Look for him to continue to dominate inside and be a stabilizing force for the Raiders despite all of their injuries.
