Raiders lose to the Giants in Week 9, 23-16

[lawrence-newsletter]Coming out of their bye week, the Raiders went to New Jersey to take on the Giants in Week 9. It was an emotional week for the Raiders for several reasons and that played it out on the field on Sunday.

The Raiders were only able to put up 16 points on offense and they had three turnovers. One of those turnovers was a pick-six, which helped the Giants take the lead. The defense for the Raiders only allowed 16 points and did not let Daniel Jones get comfortable for most of the day.

The Raiders had a chance to tie the game with the ball in the red zone with under two minutes left. However, Derek Carr was stripped sack and the Giants recovered. It was the second-straight red zone appearance for the Raiders without scoring points.

The Raiders are now at 5-3, still atop of the AFC West after Week 9. However, it was a missed opportunity for the team to create some separation between them and the rest of the teams in the conference.

The Raiders will host the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 10 on Sunday Night Football.
