Raiders legend Lincoln Kennedy to be inducted into Pac-12 Hall of Honor

The Pac-12 Conference today announced the 2020 class to be inducted into the Pac-12 Hall of Honor. Among them will be former Washington Husky and Raiders legendary tackle, Lincoln Kennedy.

Kennedy was the ninth overall selection in the 1993 NFL draft by the Atlanta Falcons. After three seasons in Atlanta, the Falcons gave up on him and he signed with the Raiders where he spent the next eight years as their every day starting right tackle, heading to three Pro Bowls and being named All-Pro in the season the team headed to the Super Bowl.

These days Linc is a booth analyst for the Raiders radio network and an analyst for the Pac-12 Network. I had the privilege of sitting next to him at the Pac-12 Championship in which the Oregon Ducks beat the Utah Utes. As tough as it may have been for him, it was nicer the year before when his Huskies won that same game.

There are 12 2020 inductees, one from each school in the Pac-12. Here is the full list.

Sean Rooks (Arizona)
Jennifer Azzi (Stanford)
Melissa Belote Ripley (Arizona State)
Jonathan Ogden (UCLA)
Don Bowden (California)
Barbara Hedges (USC)
Bill Marolt (Colorado)
Kathy Kreiner-Phillips (Utah)
Dan Fouts (Oregon)
Lincoln Kennedy (Washington)
Joni Huntley (Oregon State)
Jeanne Eggart Helfer (Washington State)

The 2020 Hall of Honor class will be the 19th since its creation in 2002. Each year a new inductee from each Pac-12 university is welcomed into the Hall of Honor.

Formal induction will take place on Friday, March 13 during a ceremony before the semifinals of the 2020 Pac-12 Men’s Basketball Tournament, presented by New York Life.
