Raiders downgrade TE Darren Waller, DT Quinton Jefferson to Questionable vs Eagles

As of Friday, the Raiders injury report was looking pretty good. Only reserve tight end Nick Bowers was on it. He is OUT for the game. All players who were on the injury report at some point during the week were removed.

Today the Raiders updated that injury report, adding a couple of key starters to it.

Tight end Darren Waller is now officially Questionable with an ankle injury. Also now officially Questionable is defensive tackle Quinton Jefferson for personal reasons.

Waller had been listed on the injury report, he only missed one day and it was labeled as NIR-rest/ankle. He returned full on Thursday and Friday, so it seemed there would be no concern there. Apparently there is some concern.

Jefferson had a personal issue that had him miss practice all week, with interim head coach Rich Bisaccia saying the defensive tackle would be back on Saturday.

“Yeah. Quinton had a family problem that he had to go home and see his mom and dad about, and we’ve been in constant contact with him,” Bisaccia said on Friday. “I spoke to him the last time this morning. We believe he will be back tomorrow. We’ll have a conversation with him and see where he’s at going into Sunday.”

It would seem that conversation took place and prompted the new designation.
