The Washington Football Team made a trade with the Las Vegas Raiders earlier this season for LT David Sharpe, looking to boost the depth of their offensive line ahead of the season. Now, because of the Raider’s lack of compliance with the COVID-19 guidelines, they have been hit with a massive fine and loss of a sixth-round draft pick in 2021.
The Raiders have two 6th-round picks, one from Washington, and one of their own, but according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, they will lose whichever pick is higher by the time the 2020 season is said and done, which will be determined by who finishes with a better record.
Two notes on the #Raiders COVID-19 penalties, according to a source:
—They have two sixth-round picks – one that’s their own and another from a trade with #WashingtonFootball. They’d lose whichever winds up being higher.
—The team has appealed the penalties.

Since trading a sixth-round pick for him, Washington has played Sharpe a total of nine snaps this season, instead going with Geron Christian and Cornelius Lucas at the position.
