Raiders claim OG Jordan Roos off waivers from Seahawks

As camp approaches, the Raiders made a move. They’ve claimed guard Jordan Roos off waivers from the Seahawks. In a corresponding move, they placed defensive end Ade Aruna on the Non-football Injury list.

Roos is a familiar face for Raiders offensive line coach Tom Cable. The 6-3, 302-pounder spent the past three seasons in Seattle. He originally signed with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of Purdue, his first season of which under Cable who was the team’s offensive line coach.

In total, Roos has appeared in 14 games with no starts. Seven of those starts were as a rookie in 2017, then he spent 2018 on the team’s practice squad and once again appeared in seven games last season.

Aruna first joined the Raiders last December on their practice squad and was re-signed on a reserve-future contract after the season. He was originally a sixth-round pick (218 overall) by the Vikings in 2018 but injuries have ended both of his first two seasons before they began.
