The first injury report of the week is out. And it brings good news. Namely the return of Darren Waller.

Waller hasn’t played since November 25. He has missed five games with knee and back injuries and last week was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list, further prohibiting his return from injury.
His injury status is now just listed as a knee and he practiced limited.
“We were hoping to have him back in the walk-thru practice of Wednesday last week, so we are even more anticipating that we have a chance to get him back for this week,” said interim head coach Rich Bisaccia on Monday.
“And hopefully if we get him in Wednesday’s practice, he feels a little bit better about how it feels when he moves around, then we’ll be really excited about what Thursday and Friday could possibly look like. But we definitely think he needs to work throughout the week, he’s been out for so long, to really have a good run at it as Friday comes along. And then he’ll hopefully be able to tell us, ‘Hey, I’m good to go.’ But we are anticipating him practicing in Wednesday’s walk-thru.”
Missing on Wednesday was DT Johnathan Hankins with a back injury that had him out last week’s game against the Colts as well.
The Chargers were without DT Joe Gaziano and C Corey Linsley.
