No one can honestly deny just how good Rodney Hudson is at the playing the center position in the NFL. Though some seem to try. The fact that he has never been named All Pro is evidence of that. The folks at EA Sports seem to recognize how talented he is, based on the Madden 21 ratings.

Hudson has an overall rating of 93 which lands him at second at his position in the league just behind Eagles center Jason Kelce and 7th in the NFL among offensive linemen.

There are areas where Hudson is far and away the best in the league and those show in his ratings as well. None more so than pass blocking, which is to be expected for a guy who hasn’t given up a sack in more than two years.

Hudson’s Pass Blocking rating of 94 isn’t just tops in the game, it’s a ridiculous SIX POINTS better than Jason Kelce who is the next best center on the list.

Likewise, Hudson’s Pass Block Power rating of 96 is six points ahead of the next best on the list (Brandon Linder) and is second best at any offensive line position behind only Chiefs right tackle Mitchell Schwartz (98).

His Pass Block Finesse rating is also tops among centers, two points above Kelce.

Another area in which Hudson is tops the NFL at his position include Toughness (97). That’s tied with teammate Richie Incognito for 4th among all offensive linemen.

Other attributes that put him in the top five among centers include Run Block Power (87), and Lead Blocking (92) which is second among centers behind Kelce (94) and 4th at any offensive line position.

So, yeah, Hudson is pretty good. Safe to say if you have him at center in your game, you should be in safe hands.
