Raiders CB Rock Ya-Sin ranked among top free agents set for 2023

The Raiders are going to have one busy offseason ahead of them. Not only do they have to deal with the fact that the NFL’s leading rusher is set to hit free agency, but they might also be in the market for a new franchise quarterback.

Those are obviously two of the biggest decisions the Raiders will make this offseason, but there are other important moves that need to be made. They also have a handful of other free agents that could be of interest to other teams around the league.

In a recent article by Gregg Rosenthal of NFL.com, he ranked the top 51 free agents scheduled to hit the open market. That list included cornerback Rock Ya-Sin, who played 11 games for the Raiders this season. Here is what Rosenthal had to say about the former second-round pick:

“Traded from the Colts to the Raiders in exchange for Yannick Ngakoue, Ya-Sin can help out a team that likes to play press-man coverage.”

Ya-Sin was a fine No. 2 cornerback this season, but he hasn’t been the most durable player during his NFL career. That will likely play a factor into what his next contract will be like.

But if Ya-Sin wants to return on a one-year “prove-it” deal, that would likely make a lot of sense for both parties.
