Raiders C Rodney Hudson finishes at No. 99 in PFF’s All-Decade Top-101

Over the last few seasons, there might not have been a better center in the NFL than Rodney Hudson. Since 2016, he’s made three Pro Bowls and has missed just one start. While he may not get as much attention as a Maurkice Pouncey or a Travis Frederick, Hudson has been as rock-solid as they come over the last several seasons.

Hudson was originally a second-round pick by the Kansas City Chiefs, where he spent the first four seasons of his NFL career. During the 2015 offseason, he signed a five-year deal with the Raiders and that move has paid massive dividends since.

On Monday, Pro Football Focus started to unveil its top-101 players from the decade. And to no surprise, Hudson appeared on the list at No. 99.

Hudson has routinely been given high marks by Pro Football Focus for his exceptional pass protection. While he’s a dominant pass protector, Hudson typically grades out well as a run-blocker, as well. There really isn’t much he can’t do on the football field.

Hudson will turn 31 during this summer, but he’s still among the best interior offensive linemen in the NFL. With Richie Incognito and Gabe Jackson playing next to him, the Raiders have one of the best interior offensive line units in the NFL. Look for Hudson to dominate in 2020 for the Raiders.
