After losing the New York Jets in Week 12, the Raiders desperately needed a win to stay in the wild card hunt in the AFC. Unfortunately, they were not able to get the “W” as they were blown out by the Chiefs, 40-9
The game got ugly quickly as Derek Carr thew a pick-six to rookie safety Juan Thornhill that made the score 21-0. From there, Kansas City put their foot on the pedal, and Oakland was never able to bounce back.
The Raiders now sit at 6-6 and have just a 10 percent chance of making the playoffs. Oakland will likely need to win out to earn a wild card berth, and even then, they may need some help. It was just a bad week for the Raiders, all things considered.
Here are the team’s offensive leaders from Week 13:
Leading Passer – QB Derek Carr – 20-30 for 222 yards, 1 TD and 2 INTs
Leading Rusher – RB Josh Jacobs – 17 carries for 104 yards, 0 TDs
Leading Receiver – TE Darren Waller – 7 receptions for 100 yards
