Raiders blow 14-0 lead, lose to Chiefs in Week 12

The Raiders came out red hot against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 12. The Raiders were up 14-0 and had a chance to go up 17-0 if it weren’t for a missed field goal from just 30 yards out. But from that point on, it was all Chiefs.

From that point on, the Chiefs outscored the Raiders 31-3 with Patrick Mahomes racking up over 300 yards of offense himself. The Raiders just couldn’t move the ball in the second half at all as the offense really bogged down.

Aidan O’Connell played a fine game, throwing for 248 yards and a touchdown. He averaged 7.5 yards per attempt, but the offense needed more. It was another game in which the Raiders failed to score more than 17 points.

The Raiders are on a bye in Week 13, but will face the Vikings in Week 14 in Las Vegas. With a record of 5-7, they’ll need to win out to have any chance of making the postseason. That game will essentially be their season and they will need a win after dropping two straight AFC games.
