Raiders announce no fans allowed at home games for the 2020 season

The 2020 season was set to be a historic one for the Las Vegas Raiders. The team is primed to finally make a run at the playoffs and they are set to play at the beautiful Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

The first game in the new stadium will be played in Week 2 on Monday Night Football against the New Orleans Saints. Unfortunately, the stadium will be empty as the team announced that there will be no fans in attendance for any home games this season.

While most teams have already informed fans that attendance will be limited this season, the Raiders are the first team to completely rule out any and all fans for the 2020 season. However, it is very likely that more teams will go in this direction as we inch closer to the season.

It remains to be seen how the Raiders will deal with the empty stadium this season. Some teams are including cardboard cutouts of fans, while others are getting more creative with the potential of “virtual” fans. We will continue to update this story as more information becomes available.
