A lot of Raiders fans jumped at the chance to be among the first to purchase season tickets in the new Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Those purchases seemed fairly secure right up until the coronavirus epidemic hit. Now, with people being ordered the shelter in place in cities across the country, many people’s financial situation is shaky.
Half the NFL has responded to the crisis in part by pushing back the deadline for season ticket payments, according to The Athletic, and the Raiders are among those teams.
The other 15 teams that are delaying season tickets payments, according to The Athletic survey, are the New York Jets, Buffalo Bills, New England Patriots, Miami Dolphins, Pittsburgh Steelers, Houston Texans, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans, LA Chargers, Atlanta Falcons, New York Giants, Washington, Green Bay Packers, Arizona Cardinals and Los Angeles Rams Rams.
The Athletic cited a league source who said the NFL may issue a memo as soon as this week on the subject.
