The University of Michigan boasts one of the proudest football traditions in the country.
The Wolverines have won more games than any other college program and lay claim to 11 national championships. Michigan also has been one of the biggest suppliers of talent to the NFL, with more than 400 players selected in the draft over the years.
Nine Michigan alumni are members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame: Elroy Hirsch (1968), Bill Hewett (1971), Len Ford (1976), Dan Dierdorf (1996), Tom Mack (1999), Benny Friedman (2005), Ty Law (2019), Steve Hutchinson (2020) and Charles Woodson (2021). Tom Brady is certain to join that group soon — if he ever retires.
