The Seattle Seahawks have had contact practices for a week now and none of the team’s players have been confirmed to have contracted COVID-19. With a lack of reps due to the drama surrounding his former legal issues, cornerback Quinton Dunbar has been an mostly a observer in training camp. He recently told reporters that he is particularly impressed with second-year wide receiver DK Metcalf.
“I haven’t been practicing too much, so I haven’t really gotten to go up against those guys,” Dunbar said during his press conference. “But watching from the sideline, Metcalf looks amazing, man – looks like Julio (Jones) out there. I’m looking forward to getting better with him and matching up with him when I do get those intensive reps.”
Metcalf heads into his second NFL season as a key target for quarterback Russell Wilson alongside Tyler Lockett while Dunbar goes into his fifth year and will be expected to help make plays for the secondary. Based on Dunbar’s description, we can assume that Metcalf will take the next step for his sophomore season.
