Quinn Ewers is the perfect quarterback for Steve Sarkisian’s offense

Ewers and Sarkisian could be a match made in heaven.

Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian’s is known as one of the better quarterback developers in college football.

Nine quarterbacks have been sent to the NFL under Sark’s play-calling, six of which went in the first round. Most recently, Sarkisian helped develop Tua Tagovailoa and Mac Jones as the offensive coordinator at Alabama.

On3 Sports’ JD PicKell believes Quinn Ewers is the perfect fit Steve Sarkisian’s offensive scheme and that he will excel as a Longhorn.

“Quinn Ewers has the phenomenal ability to be able to release the ball at awkward angles, think Patrick Mahomes. I’m not comparing him to Patrick Mahomes, but think that kind of throwing ability where he can throw it sidearm, he can throw it three quarters of the way. Now why is that important? Well like I said, in the RPO game if you have linebackers running up at you, it’s probably not a super clear windshield for Quinn Ewers to throw from. He probably has to get it around that linebacker, he probably has to find a way to throw it around whoever the defender is to get it to his guy in space.”

Ewers’ arm talent makes him one of the more exciting players in the country already. Him and Steve Sarkisian could be a match made in heaven.
