For the third time in three NFL seasons, Indianapolis Colts offensive guard Quenton Nelson was selected as an AP NFL first-team All-Pro on Friday.
Nelson becomes just the second player in NFL history to be named to the All-Pro first team in each of their first three seasons. The only other player to do so was Barry Sanders of the Detroit Lions.
Nelson was the only former Notre Dame player to make either the All-Pro first or second teams this season.
Quenton Nelson as a pro:
— all 3,263 of the Colts' offensive snaps
— kept his streak alive this season despite a back injury
— in 1,704 career passing snaps, he’s allowed 3 sacks
— that’s one sack every 568 snaps"You can't draft a guard sixth overall…" pic.twitter.com/3g3EHHKQkY
