Quentin Eberhardt is returning to Tennessee.
He will serve as Tennessee’s strength and conditioning coach starting June 30.
Eberhardt will serve his second stint as the team’s director of sports performance.
He previously worked at Tennessee from 2018-21 before working for the Chicago Cubs.
Under Eberhardt’s guidance, Tennessee experienced offensive improvement each season.
In Eberhardt’s first season, the Vols recorded 142 extra-base hits, including 42 home runs.
Prior to his arrival with the Vols, Tennessee recorded 123 extra-base hits and 33 home runs.
In 2019, Tennessee totaled 173 extra-base hits and 53 home runs.
In 17 games during the shortened 2020 season, Tennessee recorded 77 extra-base hits. The Vols were second in the nation with 31 extra-base hits and sixth in doubles (43).
In 2021, the Vols totaled 244 extra-base hits and hit 98 home runs.
